God of heaven and earth, before the foundation of the universe and the beginning of time you are the triune God: Author of creation, eternal Word of salvation, life-giving
Spirit of wisdom. Guide us to all truth by your Spirit, that we may proclaim all that
Christ has revealed and rejoice in the glory he shares with us. Glory and praise to
you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and forever.

We remember, Holy God, that there is no place to escape from your presence. So, on this Trinity Sunday, remind us who you are. Let us never fear living in your presence. You give us freedom, and we fail that blessing. Our daily lives fail the graciousness of Jesus. Our dealings with others and our concern for all people reflect limits we place on love. Still you love us. We have tried to hide our failures from you and from those around us. We have not been open to seeking help from you, our God, or from those who struggle with us in faith. Awaken us to the gracious love out of which you judge us. Lead us to such confession that allows insight, light, and healing. We are in your presence, Holy God. Make us instruments of your peace. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell.
