Blawenburg
Reformed Church
In Service to the Risen Christ Since 1832
Greetings Friends and Members of the Blawenburg Reformed Church,
This week the furnaces in the Blawenburg Church sanctuary were damaged by flood waters. The building is without heat. The Consistory met on Wednesday night to consider how best to offer services for Christmas Eve. Here are the plans we have made:
We have decided to cancel the 10:00am worship service for December 24.
Our 4:00pm service, which is an interactive telling of the Christmas story, with carols, that concludes with a Christmas prayer, will take place in Fellowship Hall, in the lower level of Cook Hall, the building behind the church. Pastor Jeff will host that service.
Our 5:30pm service will go on, but at a new location. The service will be hosted at the Griggstown Reformed Church, 1065 Canal Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. If you are looking for a message from Pastor Jeff, our choir, our congregation, our carols, and our tradition of singing Silent Night by candlelight, we will have all of that for you, just in a different location. The service will still be at 5:30pm, but at our sister church in Griggstown. The roads and bridges are open; make your journey to the manger!
We are planning to livestream this service in our typical fashion on Zoom and Facebook Live. Follow this Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/97023890396 passcode: church

We hope that you will be able to join us. If you know friends or neighbors who usually join us on Christmas Eve, but who might not be on our church mailing lists, please reach out to them personally to tell them about the changes to our services. Merry Christmas and may God bless us.
