Save our Steeple ~ Save our Sanctuary

Project SOS is an effort by Blawenburg Church to repair, improve, and preserve the physical facilities of the church.  We need the community's help to repair and preserve our state and national treasure.  See the links below learn more about this project and how you can help it come to fruition.

Our Accomplishments

Thanks to donations from church members, friends, and community residents, we have raised about half of the money needed for our campus preservation project.  We appreciate all donations.

As of December, 2021, we have been able to repair and repaint the church and its iconic steeple.  We also have been able to relocate the bats that had taken residence in our attic and belfry.  This winter, the attic will be cleaned and reinsulated.

There are several more projects that will be done in the coming years including the refurbishing of the interior sanctuary, repair and repave the driveways, and repair the organ.  Donations are gladly accepted to help maintain the historic church campus.
